Exam Stress ?

 Exams are around the corner.Are you stressed? Let's talk about it...

Have you ever been stressed watching your favorite movie? Have you ever forgotten the lines of your favorite film song? Did u get stressed while playing? Did u ever get stressed scrolling instagram  for hours together?  Did you get stressed playing video games?

Answer is Never...why then exam stress? 

Because we have made it that way. No student says I enjoyed in school today...No Student finds himself lost while studying...Basically , we have made education and learning a means of livelihood....Why you study ? Because you want to earn money? Is money a motive behind learning...? Then we are not learning...We should learn because we really want to learn something new, something interesting.  

Now from teachers perspective : As teachers , we have a bigger role to play. Why my student is not getting good marks? Again marks marks Rank...Did you get first Rank in school in all classes , did you top in all subjects? You are a maths teacher and you are teaching maths to a student who is not interested in maths but he is good at sports then you are teaching fish how to climb a tree. You have so many plants in ur garden. All plants do not blossom at the same time..one will blossom in the morning and other will blossom only in the evening. You are putting fertilizers beating the plant to blossom at evening whereas it can blossom only in the morning. Please change your perspective.  Do not expect student to show interest in subject he doesnt like. Change your teaching style. Make the class vibrant and interesting. Please allow him to talk in class. Let him ask you questions for which you don't know the answers. Admit you don't know and tell him you will learn and teach him tomorrow.  Make sure you do it next day. You are not just teaching , you are learning every day. You are part of a nation building process. 

Now for parents :  You have done a wonderful job by bringing your child into this world. stop with that. Don't try to fulfill your dreams through him. Don't advise him. He knows better than you. You job is to water the plant and enjoy seeing it grow and blossom of its own. When he fails in an exam you should be the first person to whom he shares his feelings.  He should not be afraid to fail. If he cant face failures if he cannot handle it how will he handle life? Hug him and say "I still love you, Failure is part of life" 

Now to my dear students : You are great. You are wonderful just by being yourself. Do what your heart says. Listen to your heart. Enjoy learning. Focus on efforts and give your 100%. Success will follow you. All the Best. You are the Best.

World Food Day 2021

 World Food Day 2021

I wanted to do my little bit for people who are hungry. I wanted to identify deserving people who are really hungry and didn't have anything to eat. I asked my contractor Nagraj to help me identify people. He said Sir there are so many people out there who want food. I said I can afford only 20 packets. He said you arrange we will distribute. 

Today morning 7.30 am I went to hotel.Food packets were under preparation. I took them and with Nagraj went to that place. 

A group of huts with minimum facility. Women standing outside brushing teeth, children playing and men chatting. I could feel poverty for first time. We take so many things for granted. I get up and breakfast is ready but for this community breakfast was something great. 

I arranged things to distribute. Nobody came to receive the food packet. Nagraj called them. One woman came. Next moment I was surrounded by people. I was busy giving them food packets. One woman told I am standing for long you are not giving to me. I apologized and gave her a packet. One hand reached out to me. Hand adorned with bangles.I saw she was pregnant. Tears swelled up my eyes. I told her you shouldn't wait for food. 

20 food packets - 5 mins. It was gone. Cost I would generally spend in a hotel for my lunch fed 20 people. I decided I shouldn't spend so much for me hereafter.

A small child extended her hand and asked for food. I told its hot I will give it to your mom. She started crying insisting I give it in her hands. 

The food packets were over. 5-6 people were still standing. I was sad I couldn't give them. I pray to God give me money so that all these people can have breakfast next time. 

This post is not to flaunt I have done anything great.Just to create awareness pls give a food packet, feed one hungry person. Enough.

Chatpata Aloo

Looking for a simple but spicy dinner after a hectic day? Then you can make this delicious dish within minutes.More than anything this is a no onion no garlic recipe. Original recipe uses garlic though but I removed since I ate this to end my fasting.


Lets quickly look into to how to make chatpata aloo. Boil and peel baby potatoes. Keep aside. In a pan dry roast coriander seeds(dhaniya), cumin seeds(jeera), black pepper,fennel seeds(saunf),red chillies(4nos). Let it cool.Grind it coarse.This is an important step. It should be really coarse.

Now heat some oil in a pan. Add asfoaetida (hing). Add turmeric powder and chilli .I powder. You can add amchur powder.I didnt have so I didnt add. Add in baby potatoes. Roast them till they turn golden. Now the magic. Add generous amount of our masala powder which we had ground coarse. Mix well till powder coats the potatoes evenly.

Add salt to taste.

Enjoy this lipsmacking dish with phulkas,nan or even rice.

Nation Against Corruption - My experience of fasting for my India

I would like to narrate my experience in fasting to support Anna Hazarre Movement against corruption.

I was watching tv on August 19,2011. Anna got released from Tihar Jail after 3 days of fasting. Anna came out and ran leaving police men struggling to keep pace with him. That energy in him and the motive behind his movement inspired me to participate in the movement. I decided to take part in the fast at L.B.Road, Adyar.

I went to L.B.Road. As soon as I got down the bus,I started searching for the fasting venue. Suddenly 10-20 people in bikes having Flag in their hand came towards me shouting "Vande Mataram" "Bharath Mata ki Jai" ...I was thrilled....I also shouted and marched towards the fasting venue. I was simply overwhelmed when I entered the fasting venue. What a sight was it...

I saw about 50 supporters waving flag..The whole area was reverberating with "Bharath Mata Ki Jai" " Vande Mataram"...I was moved...I also shouted with full energy...I painted my face with Tatoo(see pic above) and sat among the supporters.. Song was Played "Suno Gaur se Dunia walon ..bhuri najar na hampe dalo" I sang with all them..


Some of the supporters were asked to speak before the crowd..My heart told me to speak before this crowd..I had just recieved an sms from a friend enlisting the benefits of eradicating corruption. I read out the 10 benefits to the crowd. I could not believe the response I got. Crowd applauded after each and every point...10 times... My joy new no bounds....At the end of the speech I said.." I end my speech with a line in Hindi... " Sar katwae sakthe hain lekhin Sar Jukha sakthe nahi" . Meaning.. " We will have our head cut but we wont bow down ". I shouted at the highest pitch of my voice " Vande Mataram " Bharath Mata Ki Jai" .



I stayed for few hours and came out of the venue.. At the exit..I could see supporters with Flags shouting the slogan "Vande Mataram" . I am only happy to repeat these words again and again in this blog. I shouted "Vande Mataram" . I walked away from the venue with happy heart and joy of doing my duty towards my Mother India. Some of the public on the road side asked me if the agitation was over. I said "No" and said" It will continue till corruption is wiped out of this country". One man responded " You cannot wipe out Corruption" .. I replied " Yes this is what many people thought before 1947 that India cannot become free ...But it happened...Corruption will come to and end..." One of the supporters standing near by said " Sir,Well said,Corruption will be brought to an end and we will do it" ..This is the spirit among us.

To end this write up I would like to add unfortunate thing about agitation in Chennai.. I could see only 50 supporters and 30 people fasting.. Is this enough? In Mumbai and Delhi, people have come out in large numbers. Ram Lila Maidan is flooded with people...Why not Chennai? Are we not patriotic ? We are patriotic..We are not aware about this..My aim to write this is to create awareness among readers...Please come and join this movement...This second freedom struggle..Only difference being,before 1947 we fought against British,Now we are fighting against our own Government...A line in Hindi " Uss din Goron Ne loota...Ab Kaale loot rahe hain".Meaning " Those days(before 1947) White people looted us but black (our Govt) is looting us..".
